I did this video entirely with stock photos, music and videos from Storyblocks. It is based on a 2015 study sponsored by Microsoft in which Canadian scientists used EEG scanners to test the attention spans of 112 humans. They found we could concentrate for only eight seconds and blamed the results on the proliferation of cell phones. But, said researchers, the results also showed how adaptable the human brain is to constantly changing stimuli. Read Time Magazine’s coverage of the experiment. The study has been much criticized and is no longer available on the Microsoft website.
